ART and the Design of Our Office
We have 13 different paint colors (not including the bathrooms!) with each exam room having its own color and style. We have chosen contemporary fabrics for our waiting room chairs and chic exam room chairs with colors to accentuate each exam room. Additionally, our art collection is on display throughout the office. It features multiple jazz festival posters including all of those with the blue dog by famed artist Rodrigue. We have a large number of contemporary artists including American, French, Russian and German. Our practice just acquired an original painting by the ultrahip German Artist Regine Bloch. Note that this piece was previously displayed at the fabulous Charlotte restaurant BLUE. We have a total of 4 Peter Max's including 1 dedicated to Dr. Wolfe. Likewise, we have several pieces of steel art at our office as well as some mobiles in our procedure room that have been imported from Denmark. You can even see Dr. Wolfe's dogs, Louie and Molly painted by a renowned Louisiana artist, Georg Williams. Our procedure room continues to be a gallery within a gallery, with multiple pieces by artist Marcus Glenn. Currently, Dr. Wolfe is working with Regine Bloch to create some of the most fantastic logo wear ever associated with the practice of medicine. Additionally, keep your eyes out for some new one of a kind art at our office by Regine Bloch. It is extremely likely that at least one mural will be painted by her in 2007.
My true genius of a designer, Kay Kirby of Design House of Davidson and I worked hard to capture a spirit and style to make your experience unforgettable. Likewise, Terry Wade helped me in choosing much of our furnishings. My framer, Shannon Campagna framed many of the pieces of art within our office. Michael Wilson deftly created our remarkable Logomark WOLF which is on our signage facing McDonald's and in our parking lot. This logomark has been used not only for our signage, but for our doormats, cookie cutters, hats, stickers, and even for some of our scrubs and lab coats. We may even design a wolf temporary tattoo! Buster Williams of Southern Constructors was nothing short of fantastic in his efforts to help me design the floorplan and contruct an unforgettable place to share with you, our patients. He was a godsend. His untimely death in July of 2006 was tragic. His memory lives on in our office and will for all of eternity. Peace be with you Buster.
My wife has kept me sane and I could not have done any of it without her love and support througout. Likewise, my very dedicated staff and numerous people at Piedmont HealthCare including the administration department played a large role in the creation of Wolfe Dermatology.
May the Lord bless you as he has blessed us and may the joy and wonder of this world come alive as we experience our office together. The brightness of our office is but a mere fraction of the brightness that the Lord shines on each of us every day.
